How long have you worked at Westminster at Lake Ridge?
I am new to Westminster at Lake Ridge and loving every moment here.

Where are you from?
I grew up in Michigan and came to the Washington D.C. area to attend seminary and stayed. I have worked in Westminster, MD; Ellicott City, MD; and Annapolis. Most recently I was in the Philadelphia area for 3 years – and am glad to be back in the Washington metropolitan area.
What do you like best about your job?
I love visiting people and listening to the stories of their lives. Worship is central to my life and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to lead worship each week at Westminster. My specialty in ministry has always been pastoral care. I have a mixed religious background which is of great value here – raised as a Baptist, ordained as a United Methodist minister and now a Presbyterian. There is much that people of different faiths can share with each other.
Family: I have 3 sons who are the joy of my life. The youngestis a senior at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. My middle son is moving soon to Rockville, MD with his fiancé. He works in the field of sound recording and audio-visuals. My oldest lives in central PA studying law.
Hobbies: I love to garden, especially perennial flowers and small fruits. I do some quilting and other needlework. I’ve done some home construction and renovation, but now mostly just help friends with their projects. A good book and a cup of tea are my favorite ways to spend a cold winter Saturday. And nothing takes priority over the opportunity to visit my sons!
