Dorothy’s Story
• Originally from Weston, WV
• Raised three daughters in Amissville, VA with husband Bert. Bert and Dorothy were married 53 years!
• Owned a hardwood floor business (need your floors sanded? her grandson is now in charge) and worked for the former GTE corporation in finance
• Moved to Westminster in 2006
• Sings in the Westminster Kitchen Band
• Enjoys traveling, arts and crafts, gardening and flower arranging

Penny’s Story
• Originally from a hunting club in Amissville
• Moved to Westminster in 2006
• Sings (okay, howls) for her supper
• Enjoys running in the yard, chasing squirrels and rabbits

Why Westminster at Lake Ridge?
Dorothy: “The reason I chose Westminster at Lake Ridge was because I could have a cottage and especially because I could have Penny living with me. She has continued to be such a great companion to me since my husband died. We’ve made so many friends here and I know that I’ve made a smart decision for my future health care needs.”
