ACCOLADES
Our residents are always saying nice things about their community.
Below are just a few of the wonderful letters we've received recently.
Date: December 28, 2009
To: Glenn West, Executive Director, Westminster at Lake Ridge
From: Paul George, President, The Resident Association
Subject: Letter of Appreciation
The Resident Association, on behalf of all the Westminster at Lake Ridge Residents, would like to express its sincere appreciation for the dedication, professionalism, and concern for the welfare of the Residents demonstrated by you and your entire Staff during the recent snow crisis …
The actions, attitude and esprit of the Staff were simply remarkable and profoundly appreciated by all the Residents, who were fully aware that the Staff had placed the welfare of the Residents before personal family responsibilities, and at significant personal risk and discomfort. We saw the Executive Director and many others of the Staff shoveling snow, several delivering hot meals to the Residents living in cottages, many of the Maintenance Staff working the snow removal equipment continually for days, the Dining Services Staff performing their duties as if nothing unusual had occurred …
The Residents possess the advantage of historical perspective, having lived longer than most of the Staff. We know when something is done adequately and when it is exceptional. The efforts of the Westminster Staff were truly EXCEPTIONAL during the snow crisis.
December 26, 2009
Dear Glenn,
… I would like to add my voice to the chorus of residents praising you and your staff for your outstanding performance during the recent snow emergency. Despite a recent near-record snowfall of 18 inches or more, you and members of your staff promptly cleared the streets and sidewalks of the community of snow and allowed for the resumption of normal activities in short order. We even received our Sunday newspaper on time.
Tom’s kitchen and dining room staffs came in, despite treacherous road conditions outside the community, to serve full meals to the apartment residents and prepare meals for delivery to the cottages. The television system was used effectively to advise cottage residents that meals would be delivered to them … Emergency notices were posted every 30 seconds.
I am sure that there are others who worked behind the scenes to minimize the effects of the storm, and I trust that all of you will be honored at our next Resident Association meeting. Again, you and your staff have our heartfelt thanks for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Bob Winklareth
